With 2012 now upon us many are wondering what the year ahead holds in store for them – with some secretly wondering if the world will end in a cataclysmic Mayan doomsday prophecy for 2012. The violent force that Burnstein sees in 2012 also is vivid in LaMont Hamilton’s visions. The self-named “World Psychic” said almost every major country in the world will have a new leader in 2012.

“In 2012, we’ll see more tumbling and bring-down of major governments and corporations,” Hamilton said. “We saw it with Libya, we’ll see it with Venezuela, and China will fall. I’ve been predicting Kim Jong-Il’s death for two years.”

With the recent renewal of the hit reality show “Long Island Medium” with real life Psychic Medium Theresa Caputo, questions have arisen over the shows authenticity which have recently been answered head on in this Entertainment Weekly article.

When did you first realize [being a medium] was something you could do?
Caputo: I’ve seen spirits since the age of four. I thought it was normal until I hit my teenage years and and sharing things with my friends and they said ‘that’s not normal.’ In my family it was normal, but to my friends it wasn’t. I started suffering from anxieties. In my late twenties I went to a spiritual healer and that’s when she told me was that a spirit was trying to communicate with me and that’s what caused a lot of my anxiety and aliments.

When you say you could see spirits. What does that look like?
Caputo: Well when I was younger I used to actually see images and hear things. As I got older and shut down, it had changed. Because it was frightening to see people standing there who actually weren’t there. So now it’s just like knowing it, it’s like second nature.

So when you’re getting information … is that verbal, is that visual? Help me understand physically what that’s like.
Caputo: I know it sounds crazy but I can’t explain it. It’s just there.

Most communication in these sort of exchanges is the deceased person reassuring the living. Are the dead ever angry at the person who’s still alive?
Caputo: I’ve never had that experience. I was taught and the way I choose to use my gift is I protect all my sessions in God’s white light. My rule is if they’re angry or they’re upset they’re not allowed to talk about it. If it can’t help us or prevent something, then I don’t want know about it. My wish for all my clients is that they receive the most healing or closure if they come, or just comfort, to continue to embrace their life without their loved ones.

On these shows, there’s conversations with the deceased, but the viewer doesn’t often get a sense of what the ‘other side’ is like. Do you have a sense of that?
Caputo: [Spirits] will bring me to like a park or a field or ponds, and then sometimes somebody will show me a beach or a brook. I don’t know if that’s exactly what it’s like. I say ‘I’ll find out when we get there.’ I can only tell you what they show me.

You’ll read random people on the street, but since the show came out you must have times when you’re trying to enjoy your privacy and people come up trying to get free readings. How do you respond to that?
Caputo: It just happened yesterday. I usually just throw a little something out there and just continue. People are usually very respectful. I’ve only had a handful of people say, ‘Oh can you tell me something.’

The last person to really make a splash in this space was John Edward, who was often accused of doing cold readings. What is your response to the skeptics?
Caputo: I’ve never had the privilege to meet John Edward but he had opened the door for mediums. He has laid a beautiful path for us. I would say to skeptics, just have the experience. ‘Psychic Twins’ Talk About Their Psychic Predictions 2011

The twins said they want to make their “gift” accessible to all, with aspirations of their own psychic television show as well as a book to help others develop their so-called psychic intelligence; a how-to guide to using and trusting one’s own intuition.

“Everybody has intuition, intuitive ability that’s worth developing,” Linda Jamison said.

“We really believe that here is no limit to what the mind and the spirit are capable of,” Terry Jamison added. “We feel everyone is limitless.”

The sisters live together, paint together and interrupt one another in mid-sentence. They are convinced they share everything, even a soul.

“It’s as if we’re operating on the same frequency or vibration, almost as one organism,” Linda said.

From vivid nightmares to illness, the twins said they shared it all, even as they were growing up.

“Everything was identical,” Terry said. “If I had a pain in my right ankle, she would have a pain in her right ankle.”

Throughout high school, the twins were sick all the time. They said it was because they could feel each other’s pain.

“We suffered for many, many years and, in fact, probably all our lives,” Terry said.

Father Phil Jamison said, “These twins of mine are like one person.”

the twins’ mother and father were accomplished artists and, as children, Terry and Linda also developed a creative talent. After college, they moved to New York City to become performance artists, where they created the characters, The Glamazons and the Pointed Sisters.

It wasn’t until 2003 that they decided to move out to Los Angeles to create an industry around their unusual intuitive power.

Twins Describe Their Most Famous Predictions

The sisters argue that spirit guides direct them in another-worldly process they call “automatic writing.” The twins claim that these guides helped them predict two stock market crashes, the recent floods and tornadoes in the Midwest, and both the election and re-election of President George W. Bush.

“We tried to get the message out as much as we possibly could,” Terry said.

“We even email predictions to various journalists, and they don’t always publish them, but we do the best we can,” Linda added.

But the twins say they are keeping quiet about the political landscape this time around.

“We get attacked, like you wouldn’t believe,” Terry Jamison said.

Perhaps their most famous prediction occurred nearly two years before planes flew into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon Sept. 11, 2001. The sisters appeared on the Art Bell Radio show and can be heard predicting possible terrorist attacks on the federal government and the World Trade Center.

“We both had written exactly in detail all of the events of 9/11 and even the simultaneous attack on the Pentagon,” Terry said.

“We don’t buy stocks and we don’t gamble,” Terry said. “We were taught that if you do it to become wealthy, you would lose the gift.”

Schwarzenegger’s admission to fathering a child resulted in his separation from Shriver, according to the Los Angeles Times. “After leaving the governor’s office, I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement. “I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.”

And … not to be left behind on the pop ‘judgment’ bandwagon .. May 21, 2011 – was to be the “End of Days” for all of us here on this Blue Planet (according to the latest in apocalyptic prophecies pontificated by California evangelist, Harold Camping.)

Camping claimed that a giant earthquake would be coming this day at 9 p.m. EDT, and that true believers would be swept up to heaven, while the rest are left behind to perish horribly over the next few months as the world goes to hell.

But at least Camping didn’t keep this insider information to himself. His supporters put up about 2,200 billboard warnings across the country. (We will forever owe a huge debt of gratitude to the holy gods of advertising, am I right?)

Harold Camping’s prediction is based on calculations that May 21, 2011, marks exactly 7,000 years since Noah’s flood, and that means Judgment Day.

According to Camping’s prediction, nonbelievers will remain on Earth to live in torture and torment, tsunamis and fire, until Oct. 21, when God will destroy whatever and whoever remains.

And this just in Monday night (5/23) via Reuters:

“Instead of the world physically coming to an end on May 21 with a great, cataclysmic earthquake, as he had predicted, Harold Camping, 89, said he now believes his forecast is playing out ‘spiritually,’ with the actual apocalypse set to occur five months later, on October 21.”

(So there you have it. We have a new Judgment Day, afterall.) But before all this murky muddled mayhem…
